William J. Stein concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, family business succession planning, and general corporate matters. As Co-Chair of the firm’s trusts and estates group, he brings to his practice an in-depth knowledge of financial planning and wealth management from his over 10 years in the financial services industry as a mutual fund analyst and project manager.

Bill graduated from State University of New York at Albany in 1995 with a B.S., cum laude. He continued his education at Temple University School of Law and received his J.D., cum laude in 2011. While attending Temple University Law School of Law, he interned at the Temple Legal Aid Office, representing low income and disabled clients in landlord/tenant disputes and social security disability claims.

Bill is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is admitted to the Federal District Court for New Jersey and the U.S. Tax Court. He has lectured on a wide range of topics, from sophisticated wealth transfer strategies to the post-death administration of retirement accounts, for professional groups including the Pennsylvania CPA Society and the Center for Professional Education.

Bill has been recognized as a 2020 Super Lawyer Rising Star in the area of Estate and Probate. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state for their knowledge of the law, professional work ethic, and advocacy on behalf of their clients. He lives in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, with his wife and their two children. Outside of the office, he enjoys coaching his son’s travel soccer team, hiking and snowboarding.
